Chicago Blackhawks' Jake Dowell Injury Update

Here's an update on the injury to Chicago Blackhawks rookie center Jake Dowell. The Eau Claire native and former Wisconsin Badgers hockey star who broke his right foot two and a half weeks ago. Blackhawks director of communications Jim DeMaria told TV-13 Sports Director Bob Gallaher Wednesday afternoon that it will be two more weeks before Dowell can start skating again. As far as actually playing again, De Maria went on to say that Jake will need to get back into game shape, so that may take a little longer. Therefore, a return to the Blackhawks line-up is likely around the New Year. Dowell played two full games with his broken foot that he injured on Saturday, November 24th in Edmonton.
