Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has a mild ankle sprain and Packers coach Mike McCarthy is optimistic he will be able to play in Sunday's regular-season finale against Detroit.

Jennings went to the locker room after hurting his ankle in the second half of the Packers' 35-7 loss at Chicago on Sunday. McCarthy says the injury doesn't appear to be serious, and that it might just be a bruise from getting kicked.

McCarthy says he plans to talk to his team about handling success this week after a disappointing effort in cold and windy conditions in Chicago.

The loss cost the Packers a shot at earning home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, although they still are assured of a first-round bye and one home playoff game.
