Eau Claire Native Jake Dowell could rejoin the Chicago Blackhawks by Wednesday, and could even see action before the new year arrives.

As recently as Thursday, Head Coach Denis Savard estimated that Dowell was 10-14 days away from being ice-ready while still recovering from a broken foot. But Dowell was reportedly cleared by Team Doctors on Sunday Night.

Dowell says he expects to return to the team on Wednesday, and he may be in the lineup for the Blackhawks' game against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday, December 30th, at 6 p.m.
