Aaron Rodgers has a message for Packers fans.
He says he's not Brett Favre, no matter how much fans want him to be. He says he's Aaron Rodgers.
He's spent three years running the scout team and watching game film during the week -- only to spend Sundays wearing a headset and toting a clipboard. His turn finally arrived when Favre retired.
Rodgers says Favre did things his way, and Rodgers plans to do things his own way.
The Packers' first-round pick in 2005 has thrown a total of 59 passes in seven career games. But he played well when called on in a game at Dallas in November, and he'll be surrounded by young talent next season.
He also got an endorsement from a knowledgeable player. Favre thinks his successor will do a great job. He says Rodgers has the talent and just needs to stick to his own style.
