New Milwaukee Bucks general manager John Hammond says he had little choice but to make today's coaching change, no matter how admirable Larry Krystkowiak is as a person and how much work he's put into the job.
Hammond says the bottom line is that the NBA is driven by results, and the Bucks haven't done much in that department.
So Krystkowiak is gone as coach and the Bucks are looking for a new one.
Hammond has ties to several veteran coaches, including Rick Carlisle, Larry Brown and Alvin Gentry. Former Chicago Bulls coach Scott Skiles also could be considered for the job.
Hammond says he expects to move quickly in hiring a coach.
He also says the Bucks have potential, despite their poor record this season.
