Four Wisconsin Badgers were taken in the NFL draft today, including cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu in the fourth round.
It was a little surprising that the Philadelphia Eagles drafted him, since he's dealing with both a knee injury that's likely to keep him off the field for a year and a nagging legal issue.
Ikegwuonu says he knows there was a chance he wouldn't get drafted at all. He says he tried to stay positive throughout what has been a difficult off-season.
Three former Badgers went in the sixth round. Placekicker Taylor Mehlhaff was taken by the New Orleans Saints, defensive tackle Nick Hayden went to the Carolina Panthers and wide receiver Paul Hubbard was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
