Eau Claire Express right fielder and closing pitcher Kole Calhoun (Yavapai) has been suspended for the remainder of the season, it was announced today by field manager Dale Varsho. Calhoun has been suspended due to violation of team rules, but will be eligible to return to the Eau Claire Express in 2009.

The violation of team rules has no effect on Calhoun’s eligibility at Arizona State University, where he will attend school and play baseball this fall.
