This Friday, Wild Ridge golf course in Eau Claire will host one of the eight qualifying rounds for the Wisconsin State Open which will be held next month at the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club. 53 players will tee it up on Friday, playing for nine spots in the State Open.
Wild Ridge golf pro, Jim Buyze says the course is in wonderful shape, adding that the State Open is a wonderful opportunity to showcase one of the top public golf courses in Western Wisconsin.
Among the 53 players scheduled to play on Friday include former Eau Claire Memorial standout Brady Keegan, who will play at Wisconsin next year, along with former Osseo-Fairchild golfer Ben Sieg. Two of the top CVGA players, Eric Stabenow and Steve Jensen will also try and qualify for next month's State Open. Tee times begin at 8 am.
