The Milwaukee Brewers lead in the National League wild card race is back to three and a half games after the Brewers bullpen gave up four runs in the bottom of the 8th inning as the Cardinals rallied for a 5-3 victory at Busch Stadium. Albert Pujols and Ryan Ludwick were the hitting stars for the Cardinals, as Ludwick hit his 32nd homer and doubled home another run in the 8th inning. Brewers lefty Manny Parra pitched well, allowing just one run in six-plus innings of work. David Riske takes the loss for Milwaukee, who now trail the first place Chicago Cubs in the NL central by six games.
