Coming off a 21-and-4 season and a trip to the WIAA Division 3 state semifinals, the Eau Claire Regis boys basketball team has plenty of reason to be excited especially when the Ramblers return the likes of Adam Ganske, Jack Eaton, and Nick Bowe. Coach Bill Uelmen enters his 30th year coaching and is already getting his players prepared to open the season a week from Saturday against the defending Division 3 state champs, La Crosse Aquinas. Uelmen says the first week is all about teaching.
At Altoona high school, coach Andy Rieckers will have a senior-laden squad this year. The Rails know they'll be in for a battle every night they take the floor in what should be an extremely competitive Cloverbelt conference with the additions of Thorp and Stanley-Boyd.
