Badgers Women Fall to St. Bonaventure in WNIT Sweet 16

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Dana Mitchell had 12 points and eight rebounds to help St. Bonaventure beat Wisconsin 56-51 Thursday night in a third-round game of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
The Bonnies (23-10) trailed 32-18 at halftime but turned things around after intermission.
St. Bonaventure shot just 27.6 percent from the field in the first half but made 54.2 percent in the second half. In contrast, Wisconsin (19-15) shot 61.9 percent in the first half and just 20.7 percent in the second.
The Badgers led 44-34 after two free throws by Teah Gant but then went scoreless for more than six minutes and without a field goal for nearly 10 minutes as St. Bonaventure took a 51-49 lead with 3:03 left.
Gant scored 20 points and Tara Steinbauer added 15 for the Badgers.
