The Green Bay Packers 2009 Tailgate Tour made a couple of surprise stops Tuesday in Western Wisconsin as the Tour made their way to Hudson. After a stop in Spencer earlier this morning, the Packers stopped in Thorp. Nick Collins, Brady Poppinga, Jordy Nelson, and Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy took on grad schoolers in a game of kickball. The kids got Jordy Nelson out before the Packers talked to the group about good sportsmanship.
Later, they battled the Thorp football team in a game of dodgeball, and one player gets the best of Mark Murphy! The Pack then ate lunch at the Fill Inn Station in Chippewa Falls. All part of the Pack giving back to their fans in the Chippewa Valley.
Brady Poppinga/Packers Linebacker: "It brings a reality to it, high achievements are for everybody. Everybody has it in them to achieve and do something special. Being able to go into a circumstance like that with little kids looking up to us, its an honor, its a privilege. If we can bring the reality to them that they can achieve whatever their goals are, it makes it worth it. And it's fun, it really is."
