Express go extras to beat Woodchucks 4-3
The Eau Claire Express picked up their 21st win of the summer with a 4-3, 10-inning victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks Wednesday night in Wausau.

The Eau Claire Express improved to 21-8 with a 4-3 10-inning victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks Wednesday night in Wausau. The Express were led by Jon Rigenberg and Kole Calhoun who had three and two hits respectively, while on the mound, Louis Head started the game and pitched seven and two-thirds innings, striking out seven. Brooks Pinckard worked the final two and a third innings, striking out four to earn the win. The Express have already clinched the Northwoods League South Division first half title, will play the final game of the first half Thursday night in Wausau. The Express next home game is Saturday at 6 pm against Rochester at Carson Park. There will be fireworks at the park after the game.
