Packers first round pick Raji still unsigned

A major building block to the Packers new 3-4 defense, nose tackle B.J. Raji is still un-signed and not in camp, valuable practice time missed for the rookie out of Boston College, but Green Bay is hopeful that the ninth overall pick in the first round of the NFL draft will be on the field soon.
Raji was drafted to compete for the starting job anchoring the Packers 3-4 defense. Head coach Mike McCarthy says it's never good when young players miss their first training camp.
Mike McCarthy/Packers Head Coach: "You never want any player, particularly young players missing time, training camp is here for a reason, it's the opportunity to break things down, spend the extra time on the individual, it's important for B.J. to be here. This is a business situation, and we'll work our way through it."
Clay Matthews/Packers Linebacker: "B.J. wants to be here, I talked to him on the phone last night, he's chomping at the bit to get in here, but I don't think he'll be too far behind, we're re-iterating what we did in ota's, and he did a great job, and he's a heckuva an athlete so I don't expect him to fall behind when we come back."
