Jolene Anderson scored 26 points and Janese Banks added 23 as Wisconsin defeated Western Kentucky 79-to-72 in Madison night to advance to the Womens National Invitation Tournament championship basketball game.
The Badgers (23-12) will be on the road for the title game, facing the winner of Kansas State's semifinal game at Wyoming later tonight.
Anderson, the Big Tens leading scorer, got 18 points in the second half as the Badgers won their fourth consecutive W-N-I-T game at the Kohl Center. They now are 13-and-1 all-time in the W-N-I-T.
The Badgers were runners-up in 1999 before winning the championship in 2000.
Wisconsin will travel to Laramie, Wyoming on Saturday afternoon to take on the University of Wyoming in the WNIT championship game. The Lady Cowgirls beat Kansas State Wednesday night, 89-79 in triple overtime.
