A day that was not only cloudy and cold for the players and fans who attended the WIAC double header game between the UW-Stout Blue Devils and Titans from UW-Oskosh, also saw Oshkosh mount a four run ninth inning to come back and beat the Blue Devils 6 to 5 in game one of the double header.
Adam Roos got the win and improved his record to (3-0) and Ben Sivertson (Jr, Elk Mound) got the loss and moved to (2-2) on the season. Seth Maier (Sr, Park Falls) got the Blue Devils on the board in the first inning with a home run and finished the game 3 for 3, who now has three home runs on the year.
Leading the Titans at the plate were Bryan Schwebke who went 3 for 4 and had two doubles and Mickey Fadness who went 3 for 5.
The Titans are now 7-4 and 1-0 in WIAC play, while the Blue Devils are 8-6 and 0-1 in WIAC play.
Game two of the double header saw both teams hitting the long ball. Each team hit four home runs, but in the end Oshkosh prevailed on top winning 20 to 8.
