Johan Santana allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings as the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 3-to-1.
Justin Morneau hit a three-run homer off rookie John Danks in the fourth inning, and that was enough for Santana who's 2-and-0.
Santana fanned nine and retired the final 17 batters he faced. Over his last 12 starts against the White Sox he's 10-and-1.
Danks allowed four hits in six innings and stuck out six but lost his major league debut. Joe Nathan finished for his third save.
