A-Rod Hits HR #6, Yankees Rout Twins Again

Alex Rodriguez homered for the fourth consecutive game as the New York Yankees ripped the Minnesota Twins for the second straight night, this time 10-to-1.

Rodriguez opened the scoring with a two-run blast in his first at-bat, his major league-leading sixth home run of the season. He also tops the majors with 15 R-B-Is.

Johnny Damon added a three-run homer and Kevin Thompson hit a two-run double to help Andy Pettitte earn his 150th victory as a Yankee.

Pettitte tossed six shutout innings, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out three.

The Yanks tagged Boof Bonser for six earned runs and six hits in four and a-third, dropping the Twins' starter to 0-and-1.
