Brewers Rout Cardinals 12-2
The Milwaukee Brewers improved to 17-and-9 with a 12-2 rout over St. Louis Tuesday night at Miler Park.

The Milwaukee Brewers erupted for eleven runs over the fifth and sixth innings of a 12-to-2 rout of St. Louis.

J.J. Hardy tied a career high with four hits, drove in two runs and scored twice as the Brewers ripped the Cardinals for the second straight night. Tony Graffanino socked a three-run homer and Geoff Jenkins added a solo homer and two R-B-Is. Jenkins had four hits for the Brewers, who've outscored the Redbirds 19-to-3 in the first two games of the series.

Ben Sheets spotted the Cards a 2-to-0 lead before improving to 2-and-2, allowing six hits in six innings.

Braden Looper had his worst outing of the season, charged with five earned runs and eleven hits in five-plus innings. He's 3-and-2.

Chris Duncan homered for St. Louis.
