Brewers Drop Third Straight, 4-3 to Phillies

Carlos Ruiz smacked a solo homer with two outs in the ninth inning to lift the Philadelphia Phillies over the Milwaukee Brewers 4-to-3.

Brett Myers allowed Johnny Estrada's tying solo homer in the ninth for his first blown save, but Ruiz connected off Derrick Turnbow for his first career game-winning homer.

Myers is 1-and-2. He had converted his first four save chances since replacing injured closer Tom Gordon.

Turnbow, who took the loss Monday night, dropped to 1-and-2.

Greg Dobbs also homered for the Phils, who have won five of six. The N-L Central-leading Brewers have lost four of five.
