Torii Hunter hit a grand slam in a five-run third inning for the Twins, who won for just the third time in their last eleven games. Former Brewer Jeff Cirillo hit a two-run homer for Minnesota as well as his first triple since 2001.
After giving up a run and two hits in the first inning, Bonser shut out the Brewers on a single over the next six innings. Bonser also matched the longest outing of his two-year career.
Brewers starter Chris Capuano gave up six runs and seven hits in five-plus innings.
It was the Brewers' sixth loss in eight games. Before this skid, they held the best record in the majors at 24-and-10.
