The Eau Claire Memorial boys golf team is making their seventh straight appearance at the WIAA State Tournament this week. The Abes best finish in that seven year span was third. This year's squad is led by junior Brady Keegan and the Abes have plenty of other experienced talent to back Brady up.

Day 1 got a bit of a late start because of heavy rains down at Madison's University Ridge Golf Course. Once things did get underway, Keegan heated right up. The Old Abe carded a 2-under par 70 which tied him for first place individually heading into Day 2.

Overall the Old Abes are right in the thick of things. They finished five strokes off team leading Middleton and are in a tie for second place at 310.
