Altoona sister act keeps Falcons unbeaten
Tiffany Gregorich finished the night with 19 points, and Brittany Gregorich chipped in 14 points of her own in the Falcons 72-61 victory over No. 15 UW-Stevens Point Saturday.

Ranked No. 15 in the nation, UW-Stevens Point visited the Karges Center to take on the 5-0 Falcons. The Gregorich sisters teamed up for 33 points in the Falcons 72-61 victory over the Pointers.

Tiffany Gregorich finished the night with 19 points, and Brittany Gregorich chipped in 14 points of her own. Tiffany scored 13 points in the second half, and Brittany had nine second-half points of her own. In addition, Tiffany shot 7-13 from the field, 1-3 from the three-point line and 4-4 from the free throw line. She also had a team-high three steals. Brittany shot an impresive 6-8 from the field and 2-2 from behind the arc. Lauren Pellowski and Kelli Hilt finished with 10 and nine points respectively.

In order to beat Britta Petersen, Stevens Point's leading scorer and rebounder, the Falcons had to outrebounds the Pointers. As a team, UWRF finished with 45 rebounds, bettering the Pointers, who only had 29. Maranda Dohrn led the rebounding front for UWRF, finishing with seven boards. Four Falcons added five rebounds, and three others chipped in four. An even rebounding spread for the Falcons helped hoist the team to victory.

The Falcons committed 17 turnovers, as a team, and forced only 10 from the Pointers. As a team, UWRF shot 28-61 (.459) from the field, 5-12 (.417) from the three-point line and 11-19 (.579) from the free throw line.

With the win over the nationally ranked Pointers, the Falcons advance to 6-0 overall, leading the conference at 2-0. The team's next match-up will be against UW-Eau Claire at the Karges Center on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
