The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team heads to River Falls Wednesday night to face off with the Falcons. The winner will move into first-place in the WIAC standings.

After a 1-4 start, the Blugolds notched two wins in the opening week of conference play against Oshkosh and La Crosse. They will have an advantage inside against the Falcons with post players Hannah Mesick and Ellen Plendl. Head coach Tonja Englund says her young team is developing good chemistry and doesn't want them to pay attention to where they sit in the league standings.
