Jeff Suppan was touched for five runs, four earned, in the first three innings and shortstop J.J. Hardy was charged with two errors as the Brewers lost the series, two games to one. The Brewers have lost seven of their last eight series.
Chicago starter Carlos Zambrano held the Brewers hitless through three innings and collected two hits himself in that time frame.
Prince Fielder delivered the Brewers' only scoring, smacking a 450-foot drive off Zambrano that hit the sign just below the scoreboard in center for a two-run homer. Ryan Braun had walked before Fielder.
