Former Eau Claire North basketball standout Tyler Brown has transferred to UW-Green Bay after requesting and being granted his release from Central Michigan University. Brown leaves Central Michigan after seeing limited action in 11 games as a freshman.
Tyler injured the anterior and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee during practice last week, and will have surgery on his acl after rehab on his mcl in the coming weeks. WEAU 13 Sports Director Bob Gallaher spoke with Tyler this afternoon, he told us that he was planning on transferring to Green Bay even prior to hurting his knee. Tyler has enrolled in school at Green Bay and will begin classes a week from Monday. Due to NCAA transfer rules, Tyler will not be eligible to play until next January, 2011.
