Former Badgers Star Tucker Drafted By Phoenix Suns

Wisconsin's all-time scoring leader is going to Phoenix. The Suns have chosen Alando Tucker with the 29th pick in the N-B-A draft.

Tucker was named the Big Ten Player of the Year by the coaches and media as a senior. He also was chosen to the A-P's All-America First Team after averaging 19-point-nine points, five-point-four rebounds and two rebounds.

Tucker left Wisconsin as the school's career scoring leader with two-thousand-217 points, surpassing Michael Finley. He also owns seven other school rebounds, including a single-season mark of 716 points set last season.

Tucker saw his scoring average improve each season after finishing third on the team as a freshman with 12 points a game. He's very athletic and can create scoring opportunities but is a "tweener" in the N-B-A at six-foot-six. Tucker is undersized for the small forward position.
