Friday night 124th Silver Mine Invitational highlights
Women's world champion Lindsey Van and Norway's Hakon Helgeson dazzled the crowd at Silver Mine Hill Friday night in Eau Claire.

The 124th Silver Mine ski invitational got underway Friday night in Eau Claire. The top ski jumpers from round the world, members of the United States women's team, and skiers from the Eau Claire ski club taking part in the competition under the lights.
These are highlights from the the long standing jump competition held after the first two rounds. 2009 women's world champion Lindsey Van from Park City, Utah soared a distance of 81 meters, Lindsey pumping up the crowd after her jump.
Next up in the track, it's Norway's Hakon Helgeson, a member of the Gjerstad/Lillerhammerhopp club, Helgeson dazzles the crowd with a jump of 99-meters, one meter better than 11-year old Trevor Edlund's jump during last year's long standing jump.
Quite a show put on Friday night, the competition will continue Saturday morning at 11 am, tickets are ten dollars at the gate, kids 12 and under get in free.
