Twins Lose Series Finale Against Angels

Daunders was called up to replace Ervin Santana, who was sent down to the minors on Wednesday. He allowed six hits and struck out five to improve to 4-and-oh as the Angels opened a two-game lead on hard-charging Seattle in the A-L West.

Anderson's solo shot in the third landed in the upper deck in right field for a 3-nothing L-A lead.

Matt Garza allowed four runs on seven hits in five-and-a-third innings to take the loss.

Jeff Cirillo had a double and an R-B-I and Justin Morneau added an R-B-I single for Minnesota's only runs.
