Marquette gets six-seed, faces Washington
With victories in 11 of their last 14 games, the Marquette Golden Eagles (22-11) made a strong enough impression to earn a 6 seed and will face the Washington Huskies (24-9) in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

With victories in 11 of their last 14 games, the Marquette Golden Eagles (22-11) made a strong enough impression to earn a 6 seed and will face the Washington Huskies (24-9) in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Marquette will play Thursday evening at 6:20 pm (CT) in San Jose, Calif.
Washington has won its last seven games including a 79-75 victory over California to win the Pac-10 tournament on Saturday.
Among their quality opponents this season, the Huskies lost to Georgetown, 74-66, on Dec. 12, but beat a solid Texas A&M squad, 73-64, on Dec. 22.
