With two upset wins over higher ranked teams already in the tournament, the Altoona girls basketball team is looking to knock off another one-seed with Hayward in Thursday night's Division 2 sectional semifinals.

The Rails entered the tournament as a four-seed, but won the regionals after beating No. 1 Rice Lake and No. 3 Durand.

Senior Rachel Larson says their 40-37 come from behind victory over the Panthers in Saturday's regional finals gives them the confidence to beat anybody.

Rails head coach Ryan Wundrow says that his team is peaking at the right time and that he doesn't want his group too far ahead about a trip to Madison.

Thursday's game has been moved from River Falls to Rice Lake High School. Game time is still slated for 7:00 PM.
