Just over a month ago, the Chippewa Valley Predators invaded Eau Claire and beat the Crush 24-17 on their own field...
Saturday night, revenge was sweet for the Crush.
With just over six minutes left in the game, Randy Langworthy hit Joe Salter in the end zone for the game winning touchdown, as Eau Claire rallied to beat Chippewa Valley 20-17.
The Crush jumped out to an impressive 13-0 lead in the first quarter on two long rushing touchdowns by David Hildebrandt.
The Predators battled back in the second. A long reception by Corrice Burns set up Quarterback Keldric Stokes for a one-yard touchdown.
In the third quarter... Stokes got it done through the air, hitting Ben Yetter for a touchdown to give Chippewa Valley a 17-13 lead.
But they couldn't keep the Crush down. Joe Salter caught the winning touchdown to earn Eau Claire a spot in the Great Plains Football League Championship.
