Packers Lose To Jaguars; May Have Lost Driver to Injury

Backup quarterback David Garrard led the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 21-to-13 preseason victory over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field tonight.

The Packers lost for the first time after two preseason wins, and they may have lost much more after having top receiver Donald Driver go out with an injury to his right foot.

Coach Mike McCarthy says it's been diagnosed as a foot sprain.

After sputtering under starting quarterback Byron Leftwich, the Jaguars' offense woke up when Garrard entered the game early in the third quarter. Playing against the Packers' second-string defense, Garrard played two series and led the Jaguars to two touchdowns.

Brett Favre and the Packers' first-string offense got off to a slow start due in part to shaky play from two of their most important rookies, wide receiver James Jones and running back Brandon Jackson.

Backup Aaron Rodgers later led the Packers on a 9-play, 73-yard drive, ending with a 1-yard touchdown run by Jackson.
