North, Memorial Drop Season Openers, Menomonie Tops Mukwonago
The Eau Claire North and Eau Claire Memorial football teams lost their season openers Friday night. The Huskies lost to L.C. Logan 33-7, while the Old Abes were beaten by L.C. Central 24-17.

Plenty of high school football action on Friday night including a doubleheader at Carson Park. Both Eau Claire North and Eau Claire Memorial lost their season openers, the Huskies 33-7 to La Crosse Logan, while the Old Abes fell to La Crosse Central 24-17. Meanwhile in Menomonie, Coach Joe La Buda's Indians rallied from a 10-nothing deficit to beat Division 1 powerhouse Mukwonago 12-10 at Williams Stadium.
