Making only his third career start, Donovan set career highs with 19 completions, 29 attempts and three touchdown passes and added a rushing score to lead the Badgers past Washington State. The senior quarterback connected on 65.5 percent of his passes for 284 yards and produced all three of his scoring strikes in the first half. Donovan's five-yard touchdown to Luke Swan knotted the score at 7-7 in the opening stanza before an 11-yard scoring toss to Garrett Graham in the second quarter gave the hosts a 21-14 lead they would not relinquish. With less than a minute left in the first half, the Wisconsin native led the offense 53 yards on just two plays, capped by a 38-yard scoring strike to Swan to give the Badgers a 28-14 lead. Donovan collects his first weekly conference accolade.
