Tyler Donovan’s 29-yard touchdown run with 1:53 remaining in the game gave Wisconsin a 20-13 win today over UNLV at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. The fifth-ranked Badgers had trailed 13-12 before going on a 10-play, 61-yard drive that took 5:40.
UNLV had one last chance but could not move the ball. The Rebels got one first down but sacks by Jason Chapman and Kirk DeCremer forced a fourth-and-14. An incompletion turned the ball over UW at the 19-yard line, and the Badgers proceeded to run the clock out.
P.J. Hill rushed for 147 yards on 30 carries, his first 100-yard rushing performance of the season. Donovan finished 14-of-26 for 138 yards and a touchdown and rushed six times for 47 yards and a score.
Next week, Wisconsin will be back at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison as the Badgers take on The Citadel.
