Brewers Bats Boom Past Reds 10-5

The Milwaukee Brewers kicked off today's game with Cincinnati in a big way, with three consecutive home runs. The blasts, which came off the bats of Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun, paved the way for a 10-5 win for the Brewers. The win means the Brewers were able to do what Chicago's Cubs were not, maintain their share of first place in the National League Central. The Cubs lost at Pittsburgh.

Ben Sheets got the win and is now 2-and-0 in three starts since coming off the disabled list on August 28th. He is now 12-and-4 on the year. Phil Dumatrait took the loss and is winless in four decisions.
