LAKE FOREST, Ill. (WEAU) -- Former Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is heading to Chicago.

On Wednesday, the Chicago Bears announced that they have agreed to a four-year deal with the five-time Pro Bowl player. Allen played for the Vikings from 2008-2013, and the Kansas City Chiefs from 2004-2007. He led the NFL in sacks in 2007 and 2011. The team's website quotes Head Coach Marc Trestman as saying that the team believes Allen will come in hungry and excited to be part of the Bears. He went on to say that the team believes he'll fit in with new and existing players on defense.

Allen turns 32 next month.
