Badgers men's hockey team advances to WCHA Final Five with sweep over Minn.-Duluth

MADISON, Wis. – No. 14 Wisconsin (19-12-7) posted a 4-1 victory over Minnesota Duluth (14-19-5) on Saturday at Kohl Center to complete a two-game sweep and advance to the 2013 WCHA Final Five. The Final Five takes place at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., next Thursday through Saturday.

•Jefferson Dahl, Michael Mersch and Kevin Schulze scored in the first eight minutes to give UW an early 3-1 lead.
•Tyler Barnes added a third-period goal for the 4-1 victory.
•UW will play in its first WCHA Final Five since 2010 and its last as it moves to the Big Ten next season.
•Joel Rumpel made 29 saves to improve to 13-8-4 on the season.
