After coming home as runners up last year, the Baldwin-Woodville softball team will come back home as state champions after defeating Monroe in the Division 2 state title game.
Abby Klopp was the star for the Blackhawks, pitching a shutout and striking out 11 Monroe batters and getting 2 RBI at the plate. Heidi Hinz also had a great day at the dish, going 2-3 with 3 RBI in the victory.
The Blackhawks finish of their championship season with a 28-1 record.
