Former Eau Claire Memorial and Express standout Ben Kincaid just wrapped up his college career at Minnesota-Mankato and will continiue as a pro with the St. Paul Saints.
The 22-year-old Kincaid had an great season at Minnesota-Mankato, where was 6-3 with a 3.06 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) with four complete games and two shutouts. In 70.2 innings pitched he walked 18 and struck out 67 while opponents hit .270 against him. He was also a star offensively hitting .345 with two homers and 32 RBI in 49 games. In 171 at bats he scored 25 runs, had nine doubles, one triple, slugged .444 and had an on base percentage of .414.
The Saints play in the Independent American Association and actor Bill Murray is part owner of the team.
