Blugolds football returns to practice in 2014

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- The Eau Claire Blugolds football team returned to the practice field in preparation for the upcoming season.

The Blugolds are coming off a two win season where they finished 7th in the WIAC. Head coach Todd Glaser is entering his 9th year at the helm and is anticipating a solid turnaround.

Offensively, Eau Claire lost six of their starters from last year including their mainstay at running back, Joel Sweeney.

But the defense brings back seven proven starters, and will take on a large part of the team's leadership.

All in all, the Blugolds are ready to fill the gaps and get their season going in the right direction.
