Blugolds women's volleyball team talks about playing in NCAA tournament

The UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team will make its eighth straight appearance in the NCAA Division 3 championships this week as the WIAC conference tournament champion Blugolds travel to St. Paul, Minnesota. Coach Kim Wudi's team will take on Wartburg, IA in the first round Thursday evening.
Blugolds coach Kim Wudi says, "We've seen them at a couple of tournaments this year, we haven't played them yet, but we really feel like we match-up well with them. We played them last year, we didn't fare too well when we played them last year but we feel good about seeing a team that we haven't played yet. And we feel like we can match-up well with them."
Senior Amy Bomgren says, "Knowing how well we played last weekend, I really believe that if we can carry that over we can beat anyone if we want to. We're really good offensively and I have faith in all of our players so we really use our weapons well and Emily Neave she definitely puts the ball where needs to."
Senior Kelly Schuh adds, "I think our team has a lot of confidence going into this next weekend because we did play so well last weekend. I think we all finally played up to our potential, came together as a team and we did the best that we could and I think our best can beat anyone if we all work together as a team."
