Cody Rumpel leaving Regis for Bloomer

Eau Claire Regis will be looking for a new girls basketball coach as the school confirmed Cody Rumpel has stepped down to take a teaching position at Bloomer High School.

Rumpel took over as head coach at Regis in the 2011-12 season after serving as an assistant to Brady Hoolihan. That year he led the Ramblers to the WIAA State tournament, where in the state semifinals they lost to Oshkosh Lourdes in overtime 70-63.

In his two season at the helm of the Ramblers, Rumpel had a 39-12 record, including a 15-9 mark this past season, earning his 2nd Cloverbelt West title.

The Ramblers have now started the search for what will be their third head coach in four seasons. It is not known at this time if Rumpel will coach at Bloomer.
