Kyle Cody had a double digit strikeout game and didn't allow a run as the Eau Claire Cavaliers topped Spooner 4-0 at Carson Park on Thursday night.
Cody was in control on the mound, striking out the side in the 2nd inning making his second start for the Cavaliers. He struck out 13 Spooner batters, gave up just one hit and allowed no runs. His offense helped him out in the 5th inning, when Nick Degen drove in the games first run on a hit to right field that was booted by the fielder, Degen was able to come all the way around to score to give the Cavaliers a 2-0 lead.
The Cavs are in action this weekend in Osseo taking on the Sheboygan A's in doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday.
