The 26-year old Dowell has become a voice for H-D in raising awareness around the NHL.
Jake Dowell/Dallas Stars Forward: "I think there is a big fan base, it's been a pretty well-documented story done a few different articles, when I was in Chicago and when I was up in Vancouver last year in the playoffs that went nationwide in Canada. All of that has raised a lot of awareness. I'm proud of that, happy to do that, I definitely want to keep doing what I can because they are making good advancements in the research and hopefully someday in the near future there will be a cure."
