Eau Claire native Jake Dowell begins season two with Minnesota Wild

By  |

NHL training camps are underway, the Minnesota Wild held their second practice Friday morning at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Eau Claire native Jake Dowell begins his second season in the Wild organization. Jake spent most of last year's lock-out shortened season in Houston, but hopes to be with the Wild from the start in 2013.
"This year having a full camp really does help, because you actually get that much more time to learn the system and learn the specifics of what we're trying to do and gives us time to really be sharp when the regular season starts and have everyone jelling a little bit more. With that said, every day means a lot, we're being evaluated every day to come on strong from the start and feel sharp from the start is a big deal too."
