Eau Claire native Jefferson Dahl having big second half for hockey Badgers

The Wisconsin men's hockey team picked up four more points in the WCHA standings this past weekend with a two-game sweep over Alaska-Anchorage. The Badgers have moved into a fourth place tie in the conference heading into next weekend's trip to North Dakota. In this past Saturday's win, Eau Claire native Jefferson Dahl had a goal and an assist in the Badgers 2-1 win. His coach and teammates say J.D. is playing great hockey right now.
Coach Mike Eaves says, "Jefferson in the second half has chipped in on several occasions and tonight was one of those nights we needed him to step up. He's as solid as a performer as we can get. You kind of know what you're gonna get from Mr. Dahl, game in and game out."
Fellow Eau Claire native Jake McCabe adds that it's no surprise to him that J.D. has raised his level of play, "Jefferson's really stepped up here. He's a guy that's consistent night in and night out. you know he's always working his tail off. Penalty killing, winning face-offs. You know, kind of playing a defensive role but you know everyone in Eau Claire knows he's got a lot of skill and I've been trying to tell everyone here that he's got a lot of skill too but you know he's finally showing that."
