Eau Claire's Dahl & McCabe helping Badgers hockey during hot streak

The Wisconsin men's hockey team continues to be red-hot as the Badgers completed a weekend sweep over Alaska-Anchorage Saturday night with a 2-1 victory at the Kohl Center. Led by the Eau Claire duo of Jefferson Dahl and Jake McCabe, the Badgers are now 7-0-3 in their last ten WCHA games. Dahl, the junior forward had a big game against the Seawolves assisting on Tyler Barnes goal early in the second period. A few minutes later, Jefferson tallied his fourth goal of the season on a rebound chance in front of the net. Both Dahl and McCabe say their proud of how the Badgers have turned their season around after a rough start.
Dahl says, "Yeah, I think confidence is one thing, the way we started out that first half wasn't the way we wanted to but we knew we had to play our best hockey in the second half and bearing down and doing the little things, trying to get two points every night."
McCabe added, "You know, tonight, we grinded it out like Coach Eaves said, we played good defensive hockey there in the third period, we were a little sloppy in the first and second but at the end of the day we got it done, we got a tough schedule ahead of us, I think five of the six weekends here are teams ahead of us in the standings so it's a big couple of months ahead of us."
