Eau Claire native Bohlig looks back at last Wisconsin-Nebraska football showdown

EAU CLAIRE (WEAU) - Although 37 years have gone by, Eau Claire native Gregg Bohlig can vividly remember the last time the Wisconsin and Nebraska football teams met in Madison.

Bohlig was the Badgers' senior quarterback for the meeting between Wisconsin and the then fourth-ranked Cornhuskers back in 1974. His touchdown pass to Jeff Mack in the fourth quarter helped lift the Badgers to a 21-20 upset victory, forever ensuring him a spot among the iconic plays in Wisconsin football history.

"It wasn't really a play that was designed to go for a 77-yard touchdown," Bohlig said. "I had time to throw, made a good throw and Jeff Mack did the rest."
